Why these eighteen

They map to the four things that decide whether a listing survives: compliance (words that trigger suppression), truncation (what a buyer actually sees on mobile), decision information (size, material, compatibility), and structure (attributes and variations that feed filters).

A listing can be well written and still fail the first group. That is why the free checker focuses on words and limits before style.

FAQ

How long should a title be?

Most categories allow 200 characters, some are capped at 80. Keep brand, core noun and one specification inside the first 80 characters.

Do bullets have to be exactly five?

Five is the standard and the maximum in most categories. Fewer is allowed, but you lose space to handle objections.

What most often causes suppression?

Restricted claims in the title or bullets, followed by missing required attributes and main-image violations.
